Obituary of Neta Boldt

BOLDT, NETA On July 25th, 2006, at the age of 94, Neta peacefully left this world to join those who had gone on before her. She was predeceased by her husband John in 1973, and her daughter Catherine in 2003. She will be missed by her loving family John (Twylla) Boldt, Frank (Ann) Boldt, Lorne (Carole) Boldt, Marion (Gordon) Radmacher, thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, her sisters Susie Klippenstein and Mary Dick, brother-in-law John Klippenstine and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Neta was born in Eichenfeld, Russia, immigrated to Canada in 1926 and settled in the Truax area. She married John Boldt in 1932 and later moved to farm in the Brooking and then Trossachs areas. Life was not easy and they worked hard for many years to farm and to raise their family. They had very little but their home, then as it was throughout their lives, was always open to friends and family to share in a meal and a visit. In 1968 they moved to Regina where Neta worked on dietary staff at the Regina General Hospital until her retirement. Neta enjoyed gardening, needlework, cooking, music and reading her favorite book, the Bible. Although life was sometimes difficult for Neta, her faith helped her through and she always found time and energy for her three priorities - her family, her church and her friends. A service of remembrance will be held at Grace Mennonite Church, 2935 Pasqua Street, Regina, SK on Monday, July 31, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to MCC Saskatchewan, 600 - 45th Street West, Saskatoon, SK S7L 5W9, or to a charity of your choice.
