Obituary of Luther Ronald Waschenfelder

LUTHER RONALD WASCHENFELDER August 9, 1931 April 4, 2012 Luther (Lu), late of Regina passed away suddenly on Wednesday April 4, 2012 at the age of 80 years. Predeceased by his father, David in May 1945; his mother, Emilia (Millie) Wagner in May 1998; and son Garth in November 2003. Lu is survived by his loving wife of fifty-nine years, Loreen (Lori); daughter Lynn of Regina; son David (Thoma) of Coquitlam BC; daughter-in-law Holley Tweed of Winnipeg, MB; five grandchildren, April (Kelsey Campbell), Stacey (Bill), Luther, Michael, and Chad; three great grandchildren Chaddney-Rea, Alex-Zandrah, and Heidi; brother Dennis (Dixie) Wagner of Regina; Aunt Mary Weinmaster and Uncle Edward Weinmaster; numerous nieces and nephews. Lu joined the Regina Fire Department in September 1954 and retired in November 1990 as Acting Deputy Chief. Funeral Service will be held at New Hope Lutheran Church, 370 McIntosh Street North, Regina, SK at on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. with Dr. Dennis Lueck officiating. Interment is in Memorial Gardens. Flowers most gratefully declined.
