FUJITA - (nee Kobayashi) - Irene Akiko passed away peacefully in her home on February 14th, 2005 with her loving family by her side. Irene was predeceased by her parents Kinjiro and Take Kobayashi; and husband Jun (Harry) Fujita. She leaves behind to remember her dearly, brothers, Leo, George, and Harry Kobayashi, all of Regina; brother-in-law Min Fujita of New Westminster, BC; adored sister-in-law Ets Tonogai of Regina. Also left to cherish her memory are her nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Ron Tonogai of Saskatoon, Ken Tonogai and daughters Kamiko and Mackenzie of Calgary, Dawn Kobayashi (Rod Pisula) and son Bowen of Regina, Paul Kobayashi (Melissa Pollock) and daughter Hailey of Regina Beach, Cindy Kobayashi (Shaun Belt) of Regina, Laura Kobayashi and Michael Kobayashi of Regina. After retirement from SaskPower, Irene enjoyed travelling with her family. She was always active in the lives of her nieces and nephews and was in attendance at many of their Christmas concerts, hockey, ringette, basketball, baseball and softball games. Many thanks to Dr. Duffy and the Palliative Home Care staff. Our family would also like to thank Irenes many friends, neighbours and the Regina Japanese Canadian Club for their support over the last few months. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 18, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue. A private family interment will be held. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Regina Palliative Care Services, 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina S4T 1A5, The Arthritis Society, #110 - 2550 - 12th Avenue, Regina S4P 3X1, or the Regina Humane Society, P.O.
