Obituary of Robert Guy Holmes

HOLMES - Robert (Bob) Guy Holmes, born May 21, 1926 in Frobisher, SK, passed away at Parkside Extendicare on Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at the age of 78 years. Survived by his two daughters, Beverly (Stan) Niebergall of Wawota and Bonnie (Ron) MacGillivray of Vankleek Hill, ON; son Lloyd (Karen) Holmes of Regina; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; son-in-law Len Bagu of Kipling Sk.; one sister Melba Koczka; two sisters-in-law Grace Holmes and Lena Serge; one brother-in-law Al (Audrey) Rettman, all of Regina several nieces, nephews and cousins. Bob was predeceased by his parents Guy and Emma (Byers) Holmes; one brother Russell. In his younger years he farmed in the Minton, Big Beaver and Kipling areas. Bob was employed with the City of Regina, in Parks and Recreation for twenty-five years. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. in Westminster United Church, 3025 - 13th Avenue with Rev. Jack Bray officiating. Interment in Minton Cemetery at 5:00 p.m. Flowers gratefully declined.
