Obituary of Hazel Isabel Dey

DEY - Hazel Isabel, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 22, 2005. Born May 24, 1917 to Gordon and Margaret Morrison. Predeceased by husband Donald (Duke) Dey, son-in-law Jack Patterson, and brother-in-law Don McGillivray. She will be fondly remembered by her sister, Evelyn McGillvray, her brother, Norman (Gen) Morrison, daughters Joan Patterson (Calgary), Donna (Dean) Kriekle (Toronto), Sandra (Robert) Cosbey (Regina), grandchildren Dave, Tracey, and Jim Patterson, Jackie, Karen, and Leslie Kriekle, Thomas, Peter, and Catherine Cosbey, and great-grandchildren Niki, DeeDee, Sam, Kieran, Maggie, and Jack. Hazel graduated from the Regina General Hospital School of Nursing in 1940, worked as a private duty nurse and hospital nurse before completing her nursing career at the Allan Blair Memorial Cancer Clinic. As well, she valued her time as a volunteer, and enjoyed card playing, gatherings at Regina Beach, and having "her" kids around. The funeral service will be held at Wesley United Church, 3913 Hillsdale St., Regina on Saturday, March 26, 2005, at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Regina Palliative Care, Inc., 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina S4T 1A5.
