Obituary of Darius Hofer

HOFER, Darius, Jr. July 17, 1943 - March 23, 2005 It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darius Hofer of the Arm River Colony. Darius passed away peacefully on March 23, 2005 at the age of 61 after a three year battle with cancer. Darius is predeceased by his parents Darius and Rebecca; brothers Paul and Benjamin, sister Elizabeth (John) Stahl and one grandson Austin. He leaves to mourn his wife of 37 years, Susie and five children, Judy (Cornelius) of Elkhorn, MB, Rosa (Sam) of White City, SK, Linda (Marvin), Bernice (Chris), both of Leask, SK; one son Tim; and thirteen grandchildren. He will be remembered by his brothers, Rev. Daniel (Katie), the late Paul (Dora), Joe (Kate), Sam (Annie), all of Arm River Colony: four sisters, Rebecca (the late Mike) Hofer of Sterling, AB, Katie (Peter) Hofer, Susie (Mike) Wollman, both of Roundup, MT and Annie (Darius) Walter of Stanford MT. He will also be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews. Darius had a lot of very close friends whom he held so dear. He loved being around his grandchildren, especially when they came to visit him during the summer holidays, he loved his family dearly. He always appreciated a helping hand and he never let it go unnoticed. He will be greatly missed. Funeral Service will be held at the Arm River Colony on Friday, March 25, 2005 at 12:30 p.m. Interment to be in Arm River Cemetery.
