Obituary of Dorothy Louise Hoemsen

HOEMSEN - Dorothy Louise (nee Turner) of Regina died peacefully on April 10, 2005 at her home. She was predeceased by her parents John and Maude Turner; brother Stanley; sister Marlene. Dorothy was born July 9, 1931 in Regina, attended Haultain Public School and Balfour Tech. She worked as a secretary-steno for the RCMP and other government offices throughout her career. Dorothy was a charter member of the Regina Lions Band as a drum majorette. She was interested in learning new skills and was an ardent craft person. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Hugo; children Tryphena (Greg) Van Loosen, Norman and family, Victor (Charmaine), Heather (Raymond) Young, Peter (Allison); thirteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters Elaine (Harry) Tatlow, Jacquie, Sharon, Sandra, Brenda (Ed) Pelletier; brothers Wesley (Denise) Turner, Brian and Calvin Turner; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. By request, no service will be held. Private burial to follow at a later date. Flowers gratefully declined. Friends so wishing may make donations, in memoriam, to a charity of their choice.
