Obituary of Mary White

WHITE - On Monday, April 18, 2005, Mary White, late of Regina, passed away at the age of 79 years. Mary White was born to Anthony and Maggie Oshust on January 25, 1926. She was raised in the Lake Alma district and attended Westdale School. She married Harold Albert White on July 11, 1947 and settled in Regina. They enjoyed a union of 45 years. When mom and dad purchased their home in the Rosemont area they joined a community of good friends and good times. The support over the 40 plus years has truly been a blessing. Mom was a stay-at-home mom for many years. She took great pride in her children and later her grandchildren. She was happiest when the house was full of family and friends. She was a very talented seamstress and relaxed with a variety of crafts. She was fortunate to incorporate these hobbies later in the work force. Mom loved to putter in the garden and enjoyed the results of her labour. Mom was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Harold (1992); brother Johnny (1920) and sister Rose (1996). She is survived by her four children, Gail White of Regina, Greg and his wife Barb and grandchildren Jennifer and Christopher of Regina; Barry and his wife Holly and grandson Jason of Craven and Leanne White of Nipawin; sisters, Elsie (Jim) Joyce of Regina and Ann Zulak of Winnipeg; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. At Moms request a private graveside service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in memoriam, to Breast Cancer Research or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan.
