Obituary of Arthur Wilburton Hewlitt

HEWLITT - Arthur (Tom) Hewlitt - April 13, 1916-April 23, 2005 - Tom was born and raised in Caron, SK. He joined the Air Force in 1940 and upon his return moved to Kimberly, B.C. where he worked in the mines. He returned to Saskatchewan in 1955 and bought the Earl Grey Hotel, which he owned until 1965. He married Elizabeth Cross in 1968. Tom is survived by his wife Elizabeth in Earl Grey, step children Carol Cross, Earl Grey, Bonnie Downes, Regina, and Joseph (Sharon) Cross, Kimberly, B.C. Grandchildren, Lisa Warner, Tasmania, Shelly (Gary) Lavoie, Estevan and Kelly Downes, Regina. Great Grandchildren, Landon, Jordan, Cameron, Renee, and Aaron Lavoie from Estevan and his four legged friend and companion Gizmo. There will be no funeral, but the family would like friends who wish to pay their last respects to Tom to join them at a memorial celebration of his life at the Earl Grey Community Hall on Friday, April 29, 2005 at a come and go luncheon between 2 and 4 in the afternoon.
