Obituary of Christine Doyle

Christine Doyle September 7, 1929 - May 19, 2005 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Christine (Christa) Doyle. Surrounded by her family, Christine passed away gently in the night at the Pasqua Hospital. Predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Thomas David Doyle, Mother Margareta, Father Karl, Brother Karlheinz Winkel. Christine is survived by relatives overseas, three loving children Rosita (Bryan), Tyrone (Darlene), Sonja (Jack), seven wonderful granddaughters Jennifer, Chantall, Michelle (Carl), Andrea, Janelle (Warren), Jessica & Emily, seven amazing great-grandchildren Aaron, Carlin, Madison, Tyler, Emma, Evan, & Alexis. Born in Germany, Christine grew into a beautiful and kind hearted person. As a young woman she was determined to help others so she set off to become a nurses-aid in England. Here, in Herefordshire in 1949, she would meet a handsome Psychiatric Nurse named Thomas Doyle, fall deeply in love and marry him in February 1950. In 1957, Tom headed to Weyburn, SK., to make a better life for his family. Christine then followed with their two young children. It was here they started as four and with their new years addition in 1966 they moved to Regina, SK., where their family grew by twenty more. Christine will be best remembered every time you tend to your garden, curl up in a blanket or pass on a trick or two to someone you love. A celebration of her life will take place at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Ave. on Thursday May 26, 2005 at 1:30pm.
