Obituary of Peter Michael Parovsky

PAROVSKY, Peter Michael, was born in Grenfell, SK on July 9, 1947. He passed away peacefully on May 22, 2005 with his family by his side after a valiant battle with cancer. Peter, the third eldest child, was predeceased by his parents, Mary and Michael Parovsky, infant niece, Heidi Murphy and uncle, John Gawdyda. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his eight siblings, Annie (Larry) Neison of Nokomis, Marj (Larry) Romanow of Battleford, Helen (Bill) Murphy of Regina, Michael Parovsky of Regina, Lilly (John) Duncan of Regina, Angie (Gerry) Asselstine of Red Deer, Susan (Curtis) Mock of Regina, Julie (Mike) Kent of Strasbourg, eighteen nieces and nephews and five great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his aunt, Kay Gawdyda and family, numerous relatives in the Ukraine, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Venezuela and New York. Peter was a close friend to nature and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. "No creature was too large or too small to be honored by him. Astronomy and creatively converting recyclable objects into interesting conversation pieces, were another source of pleasure for him. As a former employee of the Canadian Pacific Railway, Peter developed a lifelong love of the railway. His extensive model railroad collection that he designed and built, provided a great amount of enjoyment to all, especially his nieces and nephews. Peters unconditional kindness and love for his nieces and nephews will be forever cherished. The family wishes to thank Dr. Clein and the nurses at the Pasqua Hospital Palliative Care Unit for making Peters final days with us, as comfortable as possible. Thank you for your tender loving care. A family celebration of Peters life will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel at a later date with interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to Regina Palliative Care Inc., 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina S4T 1A5. Condolences to the family may be emailed to reception@speersfuneralchapel.com "For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.
