Obituary of Joseph Vincent Ozga

JOSEPH VINCENT OZGA April 5, 1923 April 14, 2012 Joseph died peacefully a week after his 89th birthday. He was predeceased by his parents Peter and Pearl of Moose Jaw; his brother Walter and his beloved daughter Janet. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Madeline; children Marilyn Fayant (Jerry) and Don (JoAnne); his sister Doris Woit; five grandchildren Lynette, Tim and Jeff (Fayant), Mark Bears and Vincent Ozga as well as seven great-grandchildren. He had a 43 year career with the CPR. Joe was an accomplished saxophone player and was the band leader of a number of bands that played throughout southern Saskatchewan. Highlights of his musical career included meeting and corresponding with orchestra leaders Guy Lombardo and Jan Garber. Joe loved to read and was well versed in world affairs. A kind man, Joe was caring to his family and loved by them. He will be sadly missed. The family would like to thank the nursing staff of unit 4-B Pasqua Hospital for their compassionate care.
