Obituary of Annie Vera Vallance

VALLANCE, Annie Vera (nee Chalmers), born February 11, 1917, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2005. Predeceased by her husband Clarence (Clare) Vallance and brother David Chalmers. Vera is survived by her daughter, Eleanor (Jim) Duncan of Regina; sons, Clarence (Katherine) Vallance of Ottawa and John (Judith) Vallance of Grand Coulee; six grandchildren: Jayne, Jocelyn, Ian, Peter, Stacy Reagh and Geoffrey; four great-grandchildren: Joseph, Abby, Mitchell and Jack; sister Vivian of Regina and brother Don of Owen Sound. Vera lived most of her life in the Grand Coulee District, dedicated to the community and the United Church, president of the Grand Coulee U.C.W. for many years and president of Regina Presbyterial. Vera sang in the Grand Coulee Church Choir and was a member of the Regina Ladies Choir. She loved the farm, was an avid gardener and liked working with flowers and floral arrangements. She loved sports, the Riders, her pets, and talking politics. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue with Mary Beth Nicks Barbour and Rev. Jack Oglesby officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in memoriam, to Grand Coulee United Church. Condolences to the family may be emailed to reception@speersfuneralchapel.com
