DEMETRO (MIKE) MARUSIAK
1920 - 2005
MARUSIAK - Demetro (Mike) of Regina, peacefully at 1:25 a.m., Saturday, July 16, 2005 at Regina General Hospital, age 84 years. Lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years, Clare (nee Annie Stratulat), his children Priscilla and her husband Roy Miller of Regina, Gwen and her husband Gordon Leggett of Kitchener, Valerie and her husband Conrad Widdup of Kipling, Owen Marusiak and his wife Christina and Myles Marusiak all of Regina; his five grandchildren, Bree Leggett, Ryan (Brigitte) Leggett, Ryley (Alaina) Widdup, Ian (Melinda) Widdup, Warren Marusiak and grandson-in-law Earl Harder; nine great-grandchildren, Greg Miller, Lance and Vanessa Harder, Ashley, Ryan and Justin Leggett, Brooke Widdup and Liam and Alexander Widdup. Also survived by brothers and sisters, John (Sophie) Marusiak of Lethbridge, Mary (Frank) Schan of Regina, Henry (Julie) Jason of Brandon, Kathy (Ray) Barry of Winnipeg and sister-in-law Beverlee Jason of Calgary as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Predeceased by his father Nicholas Marusiak and his wife Annie, his mother Dora and her husband Adam Jason; daughter Geraldine Jean Marusiak (1948) and his grand-daughter Roxanne Harder (Miller) (2004). Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, July 21 at 11:00 a.m. at Speers Funeral Chapel. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the CNIB, Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice.
