Obituary of Darwin Chester Haugen
HAUGEN, Darwin - Darwin passed away suddenly July 19, 2005 at Wascana Rehabilitation Centre at the age of 82. Predeceased by his wife, Iris; brothers: Austin and Gordon; and sister Thelma. Darwin leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Gail (Frank); three grandchildren: Kevin (Shelly), Lori (Dale), Kim (Rob); five great-grandchildren: Greg, Kayla, Connor, Chelsea and Destiny, all of Regina; sister Aurora (Eric) Lunnin, Edmonton, Alberta. Darwin was a veteran of World War II. After the war he was an elevator agent in Osage until he and Iris retired in Regina in 1964. Dad was known as "Gump to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gump will be greatly missed. The Funeral Service will be held Friday, July 22, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park, Veterans Plot. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Regina Humane Society, Box 3143, Regina, SK, S4P 3G7. Special thanks to the staff on Unit 3-6 at Wascana Rehabilitation Centre.
