Obituary of Anastasia Spanos

SPANOS - With sadness we announce the passing of Anastasia on Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at the age of 87. She died peacefully with her family by her side. She is predeceased by her husband, Spiro; brother, Gregory; sisters, Kasiani, and Eleni. She is survived by her sister, Stamata of Greece; children, Angeliki (Nick) Damigos of Greece, Voula Kolitsas, Evangelia Panagopoulos, and John Spanos; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews in Greece, Canada, and the U.S.A. Anastasia was born on November 18, 1918 in Stolos, Greece. She immigrated to Canada in 1968 and settled in Regina where she lived until her passing. Tasia was a caring person who passed much of her time knitting for those she loved. The family would like to thank the staff of the ICU at the Pasqua Hospital for their care and compassion. Prayers will be held at St. Pauls Greek Orthodox Church, 3000 Argyle Road on Sunday July 24, 2005 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Monday July 25, 2005 in St. Pauls Greek Orthodox Church at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Fr. Rod Luciuk officiating. Interment at Riverside Memorial Park. Condolences to the family may be emailed to reception@speersfuneralchapel.com
