Obituary of Lawrence Siguard Schneider
SCHNEIDER , LAWRENCE (LORRY) SIGUARD - Lorry Schneider, full of music and good humour, passed away on the morning of Friday, August 12, in Regina at the age of 71. He leaves with us countless happy memories of his Four Star Orchestra (that had only three members!); his church choirs of more than 100 young singers; his classical guitar that rivaled Segovias; his systems for everything, from jogging with asthma to winning the lotto; his mathematical accountants mind; his love of teaching; his passion for pasta, tomatoes, and a great steak; his affection for Max the cat; and his lifetime of making his family his top priority. We miss him dearly. Lorry is survived by his loving, devoted wife of 42 years Dianne, who never left his side; daughter Lisa (Dinesh); son Mark (Cheryl); daughter Anne; and son Jeff (Jennifer). His children are girl-boy-girl-boy, which he always said was "good management by their parents. Lorry is predeceased by his parents, two sisters and infant son Joseph. He was also well-loved by sister Geraldine (John) Resch and family, sister-in-law Carolyn (Norm) Pelletier and family, brother-in-law Harold (Irene) Grills and family, and numerous other relatives and friends. Please join us for his memorial mass at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17, in St. Martins Parish, 4720 Castle Road, Regina. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 2360 - 2nd Ave, Regina, SK, S4R 1A6 are welcomed and appreciated. We wish him peace and life everlasting.
