Obituary of Mary Lesanec

LESCANEC, Mary - wife, mother and grandmother, born October 10, 1948, passed away August 19, 2005. Mary passed away at the Pasqua Hospital, surrounded by her family, after a 95-day battle with cancer. Predeceased by her father, Pavao Horvat in 1981, Mary will be missed by her loving husband, Nick; sons, Paul, John (Tanya), Micheal; granddaughter, Zoe Mary Ann; her mother Rozika Horvat of Vancouver, BC; sister Rozika (Ivan) Curman; nieces, Katherine (Tomislav) Bozic, Anna (Frank) Aquila, Rose, Mary; nephews, Tomislov, Christopher Curman of Burnaby, BC; brother Joe (Joyann) Horvat; niece Marina (Ted) of Mission, BC; uncle John (Katherine) Horvat of Vancouver, BC; sister-in-law Ana (Tony) Posavac of Brampton, ON. Thanks to the co-workers and friends, with a special thanks to Mrs. Eliana Peralta, Mrs. Pat Moffatt and Mrs. Dione Lovelace, all from Regina Pioneer Village. Thank you to all our Croation friends of Regina for their visits and flowers. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 24, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. in Holy Trinity R. C. Church, 5020 Sherwood Drive with Rev. Paul Dungan presiding. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park.
