Obituary of Phyllis Berenice Pasklar

PASKLAR, PHYLLIS BERENICE (nee Batters) May 3, 1924 - September 13, 2005 Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt passed into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, September 13, 2005. Mother was predeceased by her husband Peter Pasklar and grandson Todd Wharington. Mother leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Dianne (Tony) Wharington of Regina; daughter Linda Parker, granddaughter Tammy of Victoria, grandsons Jason Hardt of Mexico City and Shaun Parker of Edmonton; daughter Deborah Pasklar, granddaughter Jennifer and great-granddaughter Celeste of Regina; son James (Shawna) Pasklar, granddaughters Amanda and Cynthia; grandson Benjamin; nieces Cathy and Nadine; nephew Richard. Mother was a tower of strength to her family. She loved all of us unconditionally, advised us with her wisdom and helped us see the beauty in every day we lived. Mother was especially the happiest when she was working in her garden. Mother had the ability to have her rock garden look like a copy from a magazine, everything in its place and neat and tidy. Mother enjoyed doing needlework, building a spectacular doll house, reading and doing many crafts. It is evident that a lot of love went into everything mother did. The family wishes to thank the many nurses and doctors at Regina General Hospital for the care and kindness shown to mother and the family. We also thank the staff at William Booth Respite Care. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, September 16, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in Christ Lutheran Church, 4825 Dewdney Avenue with Pastor Dennis Hendrickson officiating. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. Friends so wishing may make donations, in memoriam, to the Salvation Army, 2240 - 13th Avenue, Regina S4P 3M7.
