Obituary of Sarah Nixon Sturgeon
STURGEON - On Thursday, September 15, 2005, Sarah Nixon Sturgeon, late of Regina, passed away at the age of 81 years. Predeceased by her husband Frank; three sisters, Ruth, Mary, Evelyn; two brothers Bobby, Kenneth. Sarah is survived by two sons Wayne of Regina, Greg (Linda) of B-Say-Tah, Sk; four grandchildren, Jason, Justin, Stacey, Gillian; six great-grandchildren; as well as nieces Heather, Linda and Garcea; two nephews Shawn and Kevin. Sarah was born and raised on Wellwood Acres farm near Rocanville, SK. She married while serving in the Armed Forces. Sarah was the owner and operator of the Shoe Shoppe on Hill Avenue in Regina where she became known as the Shoe Lady. She spent as much time as possible at her summer cottage at B-Say-Tah Beach. She loved watching sports on television. Memorial Service will be held on Monday, September 19, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue.
