Obituary of Alan Duncan Stewart Dewar

DEWAR - Alan Dewar passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 17, 2005 in the Palliative Care Unit of the Pasqua Hospital. He is predeceased by his parents, Gordon and Kay Dewar. Alan is survived by his wife Edna, daughter Kathy (Jim) Kindrachuk and her children Zachary, Zophia, Zane and Zeth of Calgary, son Brian(Kathy) Dewar and his children Katilin, Emma and Jonathan also of Calgary and brother Stewart (Trudy) of Kelowna and their children. After graduating from the University of Saskatchewan in 1958 he joined his father at Dewars Pasqua Drugs which he owned and operated until retirement in 2001. The pharmacy enabled Alan to touch many lives which he found rewarding in many ways. Our sincere thanks to all of the Palliative Care Staff who gave Alan comfort at home and at the Pasqua Hospital and a special thanks to Dr. Sandra Rayson. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at 1:00 PM at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue. In lieu of flowers those wishing to may make a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society at 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina, Sask., S4P-2R3 would be greatly appreciated.
