JOHNSTON, Gladys (Evenson)
With deep sadness we announce the passing of our dear Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother on Sunday, September 18, 2005 at age 95. Gladys was born at Earl Grey, SK on August 29, 1910. Predeceased by her parents, John and Anna; her husband Jimmy in 1971; two sisters, twin Dorothy Meaden and Hazel Page; two brothers Arthur and Joy Evenson. Left to cherish her memory are son Harvey (Ann) of Edmonton, daughter Valerie (Joe) Booth of Regina; sister Anna Eatock; four grandchildren, Kelly Tom, Jim and Karen; eight great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Gladys was a longtime employee of Sears. She also was a volunteer at the Regina Red Cross Blood Clinic. She loved to garden and have friends and family around her dining room table to enjoy wonderful meals. We would like to thank Dr. O. Rasmussen and all the staff at Santa Maria Senior Citizens Home for the many years of care shown to her. Honouring Gladys wishes, a private service will be held. A donation of remembrance may be made to Santa Maria Senior Citizens Home, Recreation Department, 4215 Regina Avenue, Regina S4S 0J5.
