Obituary of Donalda Grace Young

YOUNG - Donalda (Donnie) Grace (nee Black) passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at her residence at Pioneer Village in Regina at the age of 75. Donnie is survived by her children Frances (Kelly) Volsky of Regina and their children Sarah and Nicholas; James (Pennie) Young of Prince Albert and son Jonathon; one sister Helen Lammers of Saskatoon and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by infant son, John. Donnie was born February 26, 1930 at Milden, SK, the youngest of six children to John and Margaret Black. After graduation she worked as a SaskTel Operator in Swift Current and Outlook and at the Saskatoon Piano House. After her children had grown, Donnie returned to the work force spending sixteen years at the Plains Health Centre in Regina as a Switchboard Operator before retiring in 1995. Her job and her friends at the Plains were very dear to her. The family wishes to thank Joan Dodds, Lynn Wallis and especially the nurses and care staff on 2 West at Pioneer Village for making her final years comfortable. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, September 26th at 1:30 p.m. at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue.
