Obituary of Emma Bauer

EMMA BAUER (nee HILDERMAN) It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Emma Bauer, fondly known by many as “Aunt Emma,” on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Pioneer Village Nursing Home at the age of 99. Emma was born in 1914 in Duval, Saskatchewan. She was predeceased by her loving husband of almost 67 years, Robert “Bob” Bauer; infant daughter Elva Anne at birth; parents, Godfrey and Katherine (nee Wiebert) Hilderman; brothers, Godfrey (Rose), Henry (Clara) and Dave; brother-in-law Norman Hepting and his son Murray Hepting; mother and father-in-law Godfrey and Caroline Bauer; brothers-in-law Godfrey, Ernest and stepbrother-in-law Henry; stepsisters-in-law Lydia and Martha Hilderman; nephew-in-law Larry Bauer; as well as other nephews, nieces and cousins. Emma is survived by her only sister Elsie Hepting (nee Hilderman) of Regina, her brother Dave’s partner Bea Hilderman of Regina, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at New Hope Lutheran Church, 370 McIntosh Street North, Regina on Friday, May 31, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Liz Kuglin-Alyea officiating. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. Due to construction on McIntosh Street North, access to the church is the rear alley off 7th Avenue North. We would like to thank Dr. Warden, and the nurses and staff on 2 West and 4 West at Pioneer Village, Dr. Lok, and the nurses at Parkside Extendicare, for all of the special care and kindness they gave to Emma.
