Obituary of Albert Cyril 'Monty' Montague
MONTAGUE - On Thursday, September 29, 2005, "Monty Albert Cyril, passed away at the age of 83 years. Predeceased by his parents Edith and William Montague; brothers Bud (Joyce), Pat (Blanche); Nolie (Lavonna & Mabel); and Milton (Ev) of Saskatoon, SK; and sister Leona Webb. Monty is survived by his loving wife Marion "Cookie of 59 years; daughter Gail Montague and granddaughter Nicolle of Regina; son Terry (Germaine) and their son Caley of Moncton, NB; and sister Kathleen (John) Ell of Calgary, AB; brother and sister-in-laws, Don and Betty Cook of Emerson, MB; and numerous nieces and nephews. Monty was born in Dummer, SK, and took his schooling in Moose Jaw. He took an early pension in 1978 after working for the CNR for 39 years. Monty was a member of King Hiram #104 A.F. & A.M. He served in the RCAF during World War II and married Marion Cook in 1946 at Yorkton, SK. Montys hobbies included roller skating, wood working and cooking. Monty will be fondly remembered by innumerable friends. Recently he lived in Regina Village and Kelsey Manor Personal Care Home. A Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, on Saturday, October 1st, 2005 at 5:00 pm p.m. with Rev. Don Wells officiating. Cremation and interment to follow at a later date. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
