In his homeland he coached the Hungarian soccer team to win championships and after emigrating to Regina he worked as a painter for Cairns Homes and reignited his passion for soccer by returning to coaching a Regina soccer team. He worked hard, overcoming language and age barriers, and succeeded in making a good home for his wife and four young children. He enjoyed hard work and remained active into his late 70s taking time to appreciate music and use his artistic gift to paint. A gentle and giving man, he doted on his family and opened his heart and home to many. His quiet, loving personality and his fun-loving nature will remain in the hearts and memories of those who truly knew him and he will be deeply missed.
