Obituary of Ethel Alice Bender

BENDER - Ethel Alice of Regina, SK. Passed away on October 5, 2005 at the age of 82 years. She was predeceased by her parents George and Johanna Stianson, sister Mildred Stianson, first husband George Van Os, husband Alex Bender, son Lloyd Van Os, and daughter Judy Van Os. Ethel is survived by her children Henry (Shirley) Van Os, Valda (Art) Bender, Bob (Diane) Van Os, Gary (Kathy) Van Os, Wayne Bender, daughter-in-law Elaine Van Os, and brother Lloyd (Isabel) Stianson. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Ethel had a great love for music and throughout her life taught herself to play several instruments with great proficiency. Ethel also enjoyed cooking for her family and caring for the elderly, but most of all was her love for children. She will be lovingly missed by all that knew her. A visitation will be held on Friday, October 7, 2005 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue. Funeral Service to be held at Speers Funeral Chapel on Saturday, October 8, 2005 at 10:00 am with interment to follow at Regina Memorial Gardens.
