Obituary of Helen Fay Cudmore

HELEN FAY CUDMORE December 23, 1943 - April 23, 2012 Helen passed away peacefully, on Monday, April 23, 2012 at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina at the age of 68 years. Helen was born in Spalding, SK and lived her childhood years in Naicam, SK. She attended nursing school in Winnipeg at VGH where she obtained her RN diploma. Helen worked as a nurse in many locations in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta, including Canora, Hudson Bay, Uranium City, Prince Albert and Calgary. While in Calgary, she received her certificate in gerontology, and worked at Bethany Care Centre with Alzheimers patients. She retired from nursing in 2007 and moved to Regina to live with her sister, Myrna. Helen is survived by her mother, Annabella Woytko (Hutchison) of Regina; her children Kathy Therres of Saskatoon, Kevin (Jeannie) Cudmore of Prince Albert, Carolyn (James Dummigan) Cudmore of Calgary, Kim Hilliard of Cochrane. She is also survived by her siblings Grace (David) Voldeng of Naicam, Myrna Bye of Regina, Ross (Kathy) Hutchison of Stettler, Alberta and Rick (Beverly) Hutchison of Naicam; six grandchildren, Carson Therres, Morgan Therres, Matthew Cudmore, Nathan Dummigan, Timothy Hilliard, and Leanne Hilliard. She was predeceased by her father, Robert John Hutchison, and her brother-in-law John Bye. Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Friday, April 27, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Viewing will be held at 12:00 noon. Flowers most gratefully declined.
