Obituary of Julia Badowich
BADOWICH - Julia Badowich (Yablonski), born February 25, 1910, passed away October 7, 2005. Predeceased by her husbands Demetrius Yablonski and Walter Badowich, Julia is survived by her children, Stella (Don) Johnston, Anne (Boris) Zenchyshyn, Russ (Betty) Yablonski, Pat (Rick) Snell, Don (Caryl) Yablonski; fifteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Born in Western Ukraine, Julia immigrated to Canada in 1929 and settled in Regina. She was a life long member of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and was proud of her Ukrainian Heritage. She enjoyed cross stitching, cooking and baking for her family, gardening and especially her flowers. Her greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. A special thank you to William Booth Special Care Home and Dr. Mbanza for their care, and the nurses on Ward 4A at the Pasqua Hospital. Requiem (Panachyda) will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. in Descent of the Holy Spirit Ukrainian Orthodox Sobor, 1305 - 12th Avenue. Funeral Rite will be held Thursday, October 13 at 10:00 a.m. in Descent of the Holy Spirit Ukrainian Orthodox Sobor, with Father Brent Kuzyk presiding. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in memoriam, to William Booth Special Care Home, 50 Angus Road, Regina, S4R 8P6 or to a charity of ones choice.
