Obituary of John Francis Tobin

TOBIN, JOHN FRANCIS, FRANCISCAN The Franciscan community at St. Michaels Retreat is saddened to announce his death on October 26, 2005 at the age of 84 years. Born and raised in Medicine Hat, AB, Brother John leaves to mourn his Franciscan brothers, and his brother, Arthur and family of Quebec, as well as his many friends. He was predeceased by his sister Mary, and his brother, Franciscan Terence. John is remembered for his gentle spirit and sense of humour. Besides his 23 years in Ilo, Peru as a friar, he served in Edmonton, Toronto, Cochrane, Victoria and Lumsden, SK. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Funeral Service will be held at St. Michaels Retreat, Lumsden, SK at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2005. Interment will be held at Mt.
