Obituary of Barbara Jelinski

Barbara passed away at the age of 96 years. Predeceased by her husband Alfred on February 9, 1985; grandson Baby Jelinski; parents John and Anna Kleckner; sisters and brothers-in-law Anna (Carl) Slaughter, Frances (Dan) Crawford; brothers and sisters-in-law Bernard (Nellie), Arnold (Josephine), Edmund, Robert (Bernice) Jelinski, Chester Leslie, Hazel Jelinski, Gertrude (Andre) Nimegeers. She is survived by sons Keith (Idis), Allan (Charlotte); daughters Cecile and Auriole; grandchildren Dale, Peter and Susan; sister and brother-in-law Lea (Cecil) Wiest; sisters-in-law Anne Jelinski, Agnes Leslie; numerous nieces and nephews. Barbara was born on a farm 13 miles west of Gravelbourg, SK. She moved to Regina in 1920. It was here that she met Dad, they married on July 1, 1937. Mom lived her life mostly as a stay at home Mom. She liked being with family, going out to eat and entertaining. She was a very good cook. Her favourite pastime was dancing polkas and waltzes with Dad. The family would like to thank the Wolseley Memorial Integrated Care Centre for the excellent and compassionate care. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s RC Church, 2026 Winnipeg Street, Regina on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Vitalis Azike presiding. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park.
