Uncle John was so much a part of my growing up. His cheerful countenance with an unmistakable twinkle is so much of my memory of Beechy and the farm. He was truly part of my history and our family.
Behind the twinkle, I know there to be an energy to take on life however it presented itself. He is one of those people who really showed me how life can be lived. I hope that I can do so half as well, especially since I don't tell a story anywhere near as well as he did.

We very much enjoyed our visits with John and Jean over the years. Always looked forward to seeing him every summer and also enjoyed his wonderful stories. We will miss him.
