Obituary of John H. Schoonbaert

JOHN H. SCHOONBAERT John passed away on Friday, June 7, 2013, at the age of 72 years, after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by his mother Martha (nee Creppelle) and father Paul, John is survived by his loving wife Shirley; step-children and step-grandchildren; children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends and co-workers at SaskPower. John was born at home on the farm, Brenda Municipality, Manitoba on August 1, 1940. While helping on the farm he was home schooled. Majority of his working life consisted of dairy farming, overhead doors, construction (carpenter), trucking, and the pride of his career was being a commissionaire. The family would like to thank the staff of the Pasqua Hospital Palliative Home Care and the Regina Wascana Grace Hospice. A Come and Go Gathering will be held at Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall Street, Regina on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of John, can be made to Regina Wascana Grace Hospice, 50 Angus Road, Regina SK S4R 8P6.
