Obituary of Dolores Catherine Fisher

DOLORES CATHERINE FISHER Dolores Catherine Fisher passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at the age of 77 years. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 35 years, Henry A. Fisher and her parents, Robert and Mary Fisher of Lestock, SK. Dolores is survived by her children, Jerry (Marg) Fisher, Minsy Fisher (Harwood), Janet (Mike) Tetlock, Heather Fisher (Kevin) and Melanie Fisher(Calvin); brothers Goldie (Georgina) Fisher, Tyronne (Carol) Fisher; sister, Marina Roy and foster sister Denise Morin; grandchildren, Destiny, Miranda, Kyle, Jarret, Travis and Chad; and great-grandchildren Holden and Matteo. She raised her children, then worked as a caregiver at the Native Women’s Daycare Centre, and then moved to work as a cook for 14 years at the Regina Native Women’s Resource Centre. She was a seamstress, cook and a caregiver for seniors at Martha House, for retired nuns. When Dolores retired, she loved to travel the countryside with her husband, enjoyed berry picking, cooking, sewing and making crafts. Prayers will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Canadian Martyrs R.C. Church, 1932 - 1st Avenue North, Regina, SK on Friday, June 14, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memoriam, may be made to Regina General Hospital, Dialysis Unit, 1440 - 14th Avenue, Regina, SK, S4P 0W5 or the Canadian Diabetes Association, Southern Saskatchewan, 917 Albert Street, Regina, SK, S4R 2P6.
