Obituary of Ida May Myers

IDA MAY MYERS May 18, 1943 - June 9, 2013 Ida May Myers (nee Morse), known to us as “Our Little Sister”, was suddenly taken from us, shortly after celebrating her 70th birthday. Predeceased by her parents, Mollie and Conn Morse; in-laws Ella and Howard D. Myers; and numerous relatives. Leaving to mourn her passing, is her daughter Donna-May Starblanket, and grandkids Kori-Quinn and Kamara Kailani; her son Howard Myers; siblings, Patricia Popescul, Dennis Morse (Cheryl), Jennifer Coppola (Angelo); many nieces, nephews; and special relatives, Celeste Morse, Tracey Perras, and Lori Anne Kidd. Ida May was a very talented crafter and spent many a night covering mandarin orange boxes with wrapping paper or contacting the head office of the makers of Scotch Tape and convincing them that she could use a few of the white centres for her crafts. Imagine her surprise when shortly thereafter, two large garbage bags delivered by Purolator was more than she bargained for. Ida loved to cook and fed everyone who was hungry, never letting anyone leave without eating. Her passions in life were family, friends, and most of all her grandkids. Ida loved to go camping, in a tent none the less, and loved the freedom of sleeping in and letting someone else make campfire coffee. The family would like to thank all the staff of 3A, Stroke Ward at Wascana Rehabilitation Centre, 2180 23rd Avenue Regina SK, S4S 0A5 for their hard work, compassion and friendship shown during her stay. In lieu of flowers, anyone wishing to make a charitable donation in memory of Ida May, can do so to the 3A, Stroke Ward at the above address. A Service of Remembrance will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina on Monday, June 17, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Jim Balfour officiating. Following the service, everyone is welcome to join the family for a time of fellowship at Speers Family Centre. To leave a message of condolence, please visit www.speersfuneralchapel.com
