Obituary of Christopher Maurice Nicolychuk

CHRISTOPHER MAURICE NICOLYCHUK Chris Nicolychuk died way too soon on Sunday, June 16, 2013. He was born on April 11, 1984 in Prince Albert. Chris was a tiny baby, but he grew to be a big man. He and his mother, Dianne, moved to Regina in 1994. Chris went to Peart School, then Haultain School until he enrolled in Cochrane High School. Chris so enjoyed Cochrane. He met his best friends at high school and was lucky to have some really good teachers. After graduation, Chris worked at various jobs until he found one he liked at Badger Daylighting. He was a big, strong man and enjoyed physical work. While he was growing up, Chris spent every summer with his grandparents at Denare Beach near Creighton. He loved the Lake. Chris could swim like a fish and had a great time camping in the bush with his buddies. He was a true friend to many, the best nephew and cousin, a responsible gentleman and a caring son. Chris will be missed. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Doreen and Ivan Church; his uncle Randy Nicolychuk; and his aunt Eileen Lewis. Chris is survived by his loving mother Dianne Nicolychuk; cousins and uncles and many aunts. He will also be missed by his many friends, including a select group of kindred spirits. Memorial Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at 3:30 p.m. If you wish to make a donation in Chris’s memory, you are welcome to make one to the charity of your choice or to Regina Wascana Grace Hospice, 50 Angus Road, Regina, SK, S4R 1A6.
