Obituary of Joan M. Lasby

JOAN M. “PAT” LASBY (nee Gallenger) Joan “Pat” Lasby (nee Gallenger) passed away peacefully with family by her side on Sunday, June 23, 2013. She was predeceased by the love of her life, her husband Percy; parents Joseph and Elsie; brothers Gene “Yank” and Joseph; sisters Marie, Irene, Agnes and Velma. Pat is lovingly remembered and survived by her brothers Steve of South Carolina and Albert of Burlington, ON; lifelong friends Marie Iwaniw, Pat and Anna Mann and their daughter Lisa; and Art Johnson, a dedicated friend who supported her through her treatment. She also leaves to mourn her passing, numerous nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews. Pat’s passions were her family, gardening, travelling and her love for animals (Mina, George and Cleo). Throughout her life, she worked in the legal field. Many thanks to Dr. Wojciech Dolata and the exceptional staff of ward 3B at the Pasqua Hospital. At Pat’s request, there will be a private family service at a later date.
