Obituary of Mary Sachatsky

MARY SACHATSKY Surrounded by her loving family, Mary Sachatsky (nee Yaremko) age 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 21, 2013. Predeceased by her husband Bill; daughter Iris; granddaughter Lindsay; parents Joseph and Malanka Yaremko; and in-laws Andrew and Uliana Sachatsky. Mary is lovingly remembered by her son Peter (Linda); son-in-law Merv Newman; daughter Natalie (Ken) Foster; grandchildren Kelly (Cory) Ward, Jessica Newman (Chris Braun), Jason (Janyne) Foster, Jeremy (Jacquie) Foster, Michelle (Dion) Pfeifer; great-grandchildren Kalem, Griffin and Seth Ward; Brooke, Quinton and Jaxon Foster; Dillon Foster; Noah and Reid Pfeifer; sister Natalie Ball; niece Leanne Ball (Rich) and numerous other relatives and friends. Mom was the backbone of our family and lived to serve others. She worked hard her entire life and remained in her own home up to the time of her passing with the help of her family and neighbours. Mom will be deeply missed by all but the family is so grateful to have been blessed with this amazing, unselfish, loving mom, grandma, great-grandma and friend. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the paramedics, emergency staff at the Pasqua Hospital and the MPICU staff at the General Hospital for their care and compassion. Requiem (Panachyda) will be held at the Descent of the Holy Spirit Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 1305 - 12th Avenue, Regina, SK on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Rite will be held at the same location on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with Very Rev. Archpriest Slawomir Lomaszkiewicz presiding. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. Flowers gratefully declined.
