Obituary of Ruby Catherine Howard

RUBY CATHERINE HOWARD Ruby passed away peacefully on Friday, June 28, 2013 at the age of 91 years. She was born in Findlater, SK on March 26, 1922. Ruby continued to live in the area until she moved to Regina as a young adult, where she resided for the rest of her life. She loved flowers, her family, and taking care of the home she shared with her husband Oliver. Ruby and Ollie would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on July 25 and it broke both their hearts when her failing health required her to move into Helping Hands Personal Care Home in March. She was predeceased by her parents, Pete and Maggie Trumbley; siblings, Douglas in infancy, John (Gertie), Myrtle (Johnnie) Huber and twin brother Roy. Ruby is survived by her husband Oliver; daughter Cathy (Rob) Hobday; and her grandchildren Michael and Kayla Hobday. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her sister-in-law Wilma Trumbley. A Graveside Service will be held at Riverside Memorial Park, 815 Assiniboine Avenue East, Regina, SK on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Should friends so desire, donations in memoriam may be made to a charity of your choice.
