Obituary of Stephanie Maria Mansfield Curle

STEPHANIE MARIA MANSFIELD CURLE Stephanie, late of Regina, SK, passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2012. She was born on April 4, 1924 in Eindhoven, Holland to Eduardus and Maria (nee Haenegreefs) Eggermont. On December 12, 1945, she married a young Canadian soldier, Douglas Glenn Mansfield. In July of 1946, she moved to join him and start a new life on the family farm near Brandon, MB. On July 15, 1947, she gave birth to a daughter, Yvonne. After nine years, they moved to Brandon. On July 19, 1959, she gave birth to a son, Thomas. They relocated to Yorkton in 1968 where they resided until Douglas passed away on November 13, 1983. After his death, Stephanie moved to Brandon. On June 22, 1985, she married Harold Curle. Shortly after their marriage, they relocated to Regina. Harold passed away in the summer of 1998. Stephanie lived in Regina until her death. She was predeceased by her parents; and her husbands. She is survived and lovingly remembered by her children: daughter, Yvonne (Gary) Mulcaster, of Royston, BC, son, Thomas (Stephanie) Mansfield of Regina, SK; her grandchildren, Laura-Lyn Mulcaster of Toronto, ON, Robyn (Anthony) Volpe of Toronto, ON, Graeme (Christina) Mansfield of Saskatoon, SK, Ian Mansfield of Regina, SK and Brendan Schwan of Regina, SK; and great-grandchildren, Hunter and Mateo Volpe of Toronto, ON and William Mansfield of Saskatoon, SK. The family would like to thank the nurses and care providers at Regina Wascana Grace Hospice for their kindness and compassion. At her request, there will be no funeral service. A private family interment will be held in Yorkton Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations in memoriam may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina, SK, S4P 2R3.
