Obituary of Marion Enid Healey
MARION ENID HEALEY
1922 - 2013
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on Tuesday, July 9, 2013. Marion was predeceased by her husband Harold William Healey and eldest son Dustin Todd Healey. She leaves to mourn seven children, Phyllis (Harvey) Kennedy, Irene (Mike) Wasney, Margaret (Ian) McLennan, Ruth (Gus) Wilcott, Gary (Susan) Healey, Gail (Blaine) Hedley and Robert Healey; eighteen grandchildren; as well as numerous great-grandchildren. Marion was born in Moose Jaw, SK and raised on a farm near Briercrest. She married Harold January 2, 1943. Most of their married life was spent in Regina where they raised their eight children. Marion was a wonderful loving person and ever caring mother. Her family was always most important to her. Coming home to a kitchen full of homemade bread and cinnamon buns will always be a fond memory for her children. Five years after her husband Harold passed, Marion decided to move to Oxbow to be near her daughter Ruth and enjoyed small town living. She made many friends and enjoyed her life there. Marion’s final years were spent at the Galloway Health Centre in Oxbow where she received the best care from the doctors, nurses and care givers. The family of Marion would like to extend a sincere thank you to all the staff and doctors for making her final days so comfortable. Prayer Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family R.C. Church, 1021 McCarthy Blvd. North, Regina, SK on Friday, July 12, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Very Rev. Brad Fahlman officiating.
