Jean was born in Osage, Saskatchewan on October 23, 1919 and attended elementary school in the Latham School District. Jean graduated from Regina Normal School in 1940 and taught in Grenfell, SK. She later worked in Regina at different jobs including the CNR Ticket Office in Union Station. It was during these years that Jean met her future husband Victor Findlay. Vic and Jean were married on June 1, 1946. Jean was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who was always at her best adding the finishing details to family meals and celebrations. Jean was predeceased by her parents John and Laura Morris; her husband Victor Findlay; her son Brian Findlay; brothers, Ernest, William and Percy Morris; sisters, Eva, Ida, Grace and Nettie; and brothers-in-law, Cecil and James Findlay, Ross Millard and Al Houston; and sisters-in-law Ethel and Estelle Findlay and Pearl Morris.
