Obituary of Sybil Marjorie Sudom

SYBIL MARJORIE SUDOM (nee BELL) July 5, 1921 - August 8, 2013 Sybil passed away peacefully in the Coteau Range Manor in Avonlea, Saskatchewan on Thursday, August 8, 2013. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years, Paul; her parents Stan and Marjorie Bell; sister Elsie Bennett and brother Stanley. Sybil is survived by her four sons, Paul (Kathleen) of Moose Jaw, Dale (Kathleen) of Paradise, NF, and Blaine (Larraine) and Michael (Gina) all of Avonlea; 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Sybil was born in Belle Plaine, the family then moved to Avonlea where she attended school. In 1942 she married Paul Sudom of Avonlea. Sybil and Paul raised their family on the home farm, seven miles east of Avonlea and in 1965 they built their present home in Avonlea. Sybil loved spending time with her grandchildren and her winters in Phoenix. Funeral Service will be held at Avonlea United Church, Avonlea, SK on Friday. August 16, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Sybil’s family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to the staff and volunteers at the Coteau Range Manor for their care and compassion.
