Jackie married Johnny Yung in 1953 and they were divorced a few years later. In 1967, she married Elmer Monus, who she thought of every single day since his passing in 1975. Jackie loved gardening and would spend most of her time in the yard with the family dog. She loved playing cards, board games, bingo and was a voracious reader. Jackie had a close relationship with her children, living with them as they became adults. She also took in many of their friends when they needed a home. After her sons left home she continued living with her daughter Dianne and was like a second mom to Jason. Jackie loved spending time with her grandchildren, socializing with family and friends. She liked to have fun and had a good sense of humour. Jackie will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and treasured friend.
