There is no question that this sudden loss is very, very sad. But instead of focussing on that piece, I'd like to extend some very warm and happy memories that I have of my Uncle Pat.
My brother Shaun and I spent most of our Summers as kids down at the farm and would come back periodically for Christmas, and various special occasions.
Within those times, Uncle Pat was the "go to" for on the farm fun! From snowmobile and ATV rides, to trips into the city, to swimming in the Summer and Ice skating in the Winter on the dug out, trips to the waterpark, or just hanging out in the yard with his dogs we always found something to do.
I think the only thing he loved more than his home baked cookies, was his love of technology! Computers, video games, and video machines were in ample supply at the Farm. I recall one afternoon where an entire afternoon was dedicated to watching the original Star Wars Saga!
There was a time for fun, but then there was a time for work. No one worked harder or longer than Uncle Pat on the Farm as well.
From getting vehicles going, to getting the crop off, he was focussed and determined to get the job done - no matter what.
I could go on for quite a while with stories on Uncle Pat, but I'll save a few for others that are likely to post on here.
Uncle Pat, you will be greatly missed, but know that your memory will carry on for generations to come.
Love Denise & Leigh Manikel

We are saddened to learn of cousin Patrick's tragic death, and on the farm that he loved and worked for so many years. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the Little family at this time.
I remember meeting Patrick in 1969 when we took our summer vacation to Saskatchewan, and his cheerful, playful manner -- as well as his banter and interplay with brother Allan and wrestling with Aunt Dale. We're sorry to bid farewell so soon.
Love, the Ashford family of Washington DC:
