Obituary of Theresa Fahlman

THERESA FAHLMAN (nee Reiss) June 22, 1914 May 2, 2012 Theresa passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, May 2, 2012. She was predeceased by her husband Gabriel of 73 years; eldest son Chris; son-in-law Tom Smith; brothers George, Frank, John, Sebastian and Mike; and her twin sister Barbara. She is survived by sons Peter and Raymond of Fillmore; daughters Eva (Allan) Basky of Regina, Cecilia (Tony) Tokarz of Regina, Eileen (Murray) Huber of Calgary and Kathy Smith of Regina; daughter-in-law Bridget Fahlman of Fillmore; sister-in-law Elsie Reiss of Regina; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. Theresa was born in QuAppelle, SK, grew up in Kendal and moved to Montmartre where she met and married Gabriel in 1930. They moved to Fillmore to farm in 1934. In 1975 they moved into Fillmore but still farmed until 1991. The family would like to thank the staff at the Fillmore Union Health Centre for their care and compassion. Funeral Service will be held at St. Aloysius R.C. Church in Fillmore on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Fermo officiating.
