Obituary of Frank George Matei

FRANK GEORGE MATAI May 23, 1924 - August 24, 2013 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Frank Matai, late of Regina and formerly of Quinton and Cupar, on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at the age of 89. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank Matai Sr. and Theresa (Sich); sister Sr. Carola and brother Joe. Frank is survived by his wife of 67 years, Velma (Daradics); sons, Ernie (Edith), Murray (Judy); daughters, Irene (Garry), Pat (August), Dianne (Franck), and Shirley (Garnet); twelve grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary, Ann, Helen, Yolanda, John, Marge, and Rose; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and brothers and sisters-in-law. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter’s R.C. Church, 100 Argyle Street, Regina SK on Friday, August 30, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in St. Mary’s Hungarian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Frank may be made to St. Mary’s Hungarian Cemetery Fund, Box 44, Quinton, SK, S0A 3G0.
