Obituary of Louis Eastman Wight

Louis Eastman Wight October 19, 1926 – August 27, 2013 Louis (Lou), late of Regina, passed away peacefully and without pain on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at the age of 86 years. Predeceased by his parents Harry and Gladys Wight and brother Wilbur. Lou is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Marjorie; son Ron; daughter-in-law Susan Zerr; granddaughter Keely; step-granddaughter Cassidy (Darren); step-great-granddaughter Jayda; sister Shirley Lambkin of Powell River; sister Edith of Calgary and numerous nieces and nephews. Lou was employed for his entire working career of 39 years at Remco Memorials. He was an avid Rider fan having held season tickets for over 50 years. Lou was a diligent and active member of the Regina Lakeside Lions Club and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion both for over 45 years. There will be a private family gathering and interment in Riverside Memorial Park. When I come to the end of the road, And the sun has set for me, I want no tears or gloom-filled room, Why cry for a soul set free, Miss me a little – but not too long, Remember the love we all shared, Miss me but let me go. The family wishes to thank the staff at Regina Wascana Grace Hospice and the Pasqua Hospital Palliative Care Unit for their amazing and warm care. Flowers are most gratefully declined. Friends so wishing may make donations, in memoriam, to the Regina Wascana Grace Hospice at William Booth Special Care Home or the Palliative Care Unit at the Pasqua Hospital.
