Obituary of Stuart Russell McIntyre

STUART MCINTYRE (IKE) 1924 - 2013 Stuart Russell McIntyre was born December 4, 1924 in Regina, Saskatchewan. Ike passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on August 30, 2013 at the Pasqua Hospital surrounded by his family. He is survived by and will be lovingly remembered by his wife of over 60 years, Jocelyn; sons Rand (Glenys), Rich (Bernadette) and Gord (Cheryl); grandchildren, Lindsay (Graham Werstiuk), Brandon, Lisa and Shawn; great grandchildren, Julia and Keira Werstiuk. He was predeceased by parents Ethel and Stanley, and brothers and sisters-in-law Gordon and Marj, and Don and Jackie. Ike grew up in Regina and attended Success Business College. He joined his Father in their home based business, Kemsol Products in 1944. Ike grew and expanded Kemsol over the next 40 years and remained active in the business for many years after his three sons became partners. He was involved in the community through the Queen City Kinsman Club, the K-40 Club, the Wa-Wa Shrine Directors Staff (RCMP Lodge), Bacchus Club and the Knox-Metropolitan Food and Fun Club. He enjoyed summers at the lake, time with family and friends, working in the garden, traveling, following the Roughriders and many other sports, as well as being an avid reader. A Celebration of Ike's life will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Knox-Metropolitan United Church, 2340 Victoria Avenue, Regina at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shrine Patient Transportation Fund, 2065 Hamilton Street, Regina S4P 2E1 or the charity of one's choice.
