Obituary of Irene Erlendson

Irene, late of Regina, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 7, 2013 just before her 96th birthday. Predeceased by her husband Axel; parents Andrew and Beatrice Burnett; brothers Eric and Jack; and sisters Iris and Jean. Irene is survived by her daughter Linda (Richard) Cyca of Winnipeg, MB; son Greg (Maureen) of Regina; seven grandchildren, Tracey (Doug), Shelley (Brad), Deena, Kyle, Tricia (Jeremy), Christopher, Erin (Adrian); seven great-grandchildren; sister Audrey James as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Irene was a devoted wife and mother who took great pleasure in spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved listening to music and was an avid reader. Irene enjoyed daily brisk walks well into her 90’s. Funeral Service will be held at St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3510 Queen Street, Regina on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Jeff Tank officiating.
